What we collect

Account info (name, email), tutor application data (credentials, photo, bio, PayPal email), session bookings and payments, and basic usage analytics. We do not sell personal data.

Children's data

We minimize data about minors. Parents/caregivers manage child profiles. We follow FERPA-aligned practices and applicable international child-data laws (GDPR-K, UK Children's Code, COPPA where relevant). See our FERPA & Kids' Data page.

How we use data

• Operate the marketplace and process bookings/payments
• Verify tutor credentials and prevent abuse
• Send you the email reminders you've selected (daily/weekly/monthly)
• Improve the product (aggregate analytics only)

Sharing

We share data only with our payment processor (Stripe), payout provider (PayPal), and infrastructure providers under contract. We do not sell data.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing privacy@blacktutornetwork.com. EU/UK residents have GDPR rights. California residents have CCPA rights.

Security

Encrypted in transit and at rest. Tutor credential files are private and accessible only to the uploader and BTN admins.
